Sligo Hotel Wins Top Hospitality Award
CROMLEACH LODGE, the four star country house hotel owned by the Tighe family, has scooped one of the Irish hospitality industry's top awards, the Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Award for Customer Experience, sponsored by Fáilte Ireland.
The Sligo hotel won the coveted customer care award at the 22nd Annual Hotel & Catering Review Gold Medal Awards, held in The Shelbourne Hotel, Dublin on 20 September, where it beat off stiff competition from its peers in the hospitality industry to scoop the prestigious title.
Organised by Hotel & Catering Review, the leading magazine for the Irish hospitality industry, the Gold Medal Awards are recognised as the industry's most rigorous and competitive independent awards programme. A total of 14 category awards were presented at this year's gala black tie ceremony, which was attended by over 350 leading hoteliers, restaurateurs and caterers from across Ireland. As well as scooping the hotly-contested Gold Medal Award for Customer Experience, sponsored by Fáilte Ireland, Cromleach Lodge was also nominated by judges as a finalist in the Four Star category, sponsored by Aon Insurance, while Moira’s Restaurant was also listed as a finalist in the Fine Dining category, sponsored by Paul Jaboulet. The highly impressive triple nomination cements Cromleach Lodge’s position as one of the Irish hospitality industry’s leading lights.
